EXHIBITION OPENING: Mika Rottenberg. Antimatter Factory

Mika Rottenberg’s surreal visual worlds bring into focus the absurdities of excessive commodity production and its social and ecological consequences. Her humorous videos and installations reveal the connections between very disparate places, people and resources. With the exhibition Antimatter Factory KunstHausWien presents the multifaceted oeuvre of one of the most innovative artists of our time.

PUBLICATION: Into the Woods. Perspectives on Forest Ecosystems
Logging and the profit-oriented exploitation of woodlands are accelerating the ecological crisis while climate change fuels deforestation. The publication Into the Woods, which accompanies the exhibition of the same name, reflects on the forest as a habitat, its ecological processes, as well as the threats it faces. Sixteen contemporary perspectives engage with the human impact on the condition and destruction of forests, as well as with the collective and symbiotic nature of the forest ecosystem.
With essays by Karlheinz Erb, Simone Gingrich, Sophie Haslinger and Michael Marder.
